The Hokonui Honey Moonshine is born out of a remarkable chapter in New Zealand history — the Gore District endured over 50 years of prohibition, during which illicit moonshine was secretly distilled in the Hokonui Hills. Today, that spirit lives on legally and exclusively. This liqueur blends a grain spirit base from malted barley with honey harvested from the Hokonui Hills, crafted by distiller Steve Nally.
